Best Residential Consultancy/Advisory Practice

Open to consultants who can demonstrate excellence in performance and/or customer service. Entries should demonstrate successes and highlight how any particular challenges have been overcome.

Deal of the Year

This category is open to those who have made/negotiated a significant purchase or sale. Entries for this award will come from property teams/developers that have completed a notable residential property deal over the past 12 months. The judges will be looking to award a residential deal which has made a significant impact on the Yorkshire residential property landscape. This could be related to knowledge/tangential thinking in securing the deal, innovation in the structure of the transaction or the economic impact the deal could have in the years to come. The judges will use their knowledge of the industry to assess the performance of entrants but is looking to reward the wider team involved in the transaction. Please ensure that all participants’ efforts are included.

Best Innovation Project

This category is open to any business working in the residential property sector In Yorkshire that can demonstrate best innovation in a given project. We are looking for something discernibly different. This can include anything from construction and planning to technology and marketing. The judges will be looking for evidence of how this innovation has impacted on the success of the project and its potential to add positively to the industry.

Best Regeneration Project for Housing

This category is open to any residential regeneration project. Entries should demonstrate quality in terms of design, sustainability and economic and social outcomes. The judges will be looking for evidence of how the project has had a positive and lasting legacy on the local communities.

Best Large Development (Over 25 units)

Open to developments of more than 25 homes, new-build and/or conversions in any setting, style or location in Yorkshire. This category includes large scale schemes that might be a new district or neighbourhood in their own right with amenities or compact urban apartment developments. Judges will be looking for evidence of how the development positively impacts on the surrounding area and benefits those who live there.

Best Small Development (25 units and under)

Open to developments of up to 25 homes, new-build and/or conversions in any setting, style or location in Yorkshire. Entries should make clear how the development, blends with the local environment, creates a sense of place and allows residents to feel part of a community.

Best Design Project

This category is open to practices and individuals across Yorkshire involved in designing buildings and residential spaces. It could be a single building, a larger development or a stunning/superbly thought out interior. The judges will be looking for an outstanding residential design project that combines stylish innovation with practicality.

Best Residential Developer of the Year

This category is open to all sizes of companies building homes in Yorkshire. The judges are looking for evidence across a number of areas including business performance, customer service, innovation and excellence in practice and design. Additional considerations could impressive levels of community engagement and dedication to sustainability for both business practice and projects.

Best Strategic Land Agents and Promoters

Open to agencies and promoters delivering excellence in strategic land advice leading to successful deals/permissions. It will recognise best practice in maximising residential land potential for clients that may include house builders, developers, private landowners, local and/or central government and institutions. Entries should demonstrate success in land acquisitions, sales or permissions to achieve best value and highlight how any particular challenges have been overcome.

Best Estate/Letting/Buying Agent

Recognising the residential agency that has demonstrated an outstanding sales, buying or lettings record supported by unrivalled service and market reach. The judges will be looking for proven market knowledge, innovation and customer service. Be sure to highlight any specific successes.

One to Watch

This category seeks to reward high achieving individuals who are forging a successful career in the residential property sector. Entries can be from an individual or nominated by someone else and should highlight key achievements that make the person stand out from the rest and demonstrate the individual’s potential to contribute to the industry in the future.

Personality of the Year

This long standing, prestigious award is nominated by a closed panel.
