Due to the resounding success of the Yorkshire Residential Property Awards 2016, the Yorkshire region of Variety, the Children’s Charity is delighted to announce the return of the Yorkshire Residential Property Awards 2017.

After only 2 years, this event has already outgrown The Queens Hotel, showing potential to be of a similar scale to our commercial property awards in May, attended by 1,000. With this in mind, we are delighted to have secured the prestigious Bowcliffe Hall as the new venue, which we fell will add value and take this event to another level.

Best Planning Practice
This category is open to any residential planning practice operating in Yorkshire. Entries should demonstrate consistently high output and quality outcomes for clients. The judges will be looking for evidence of innovative and added value service to support clients.

Best Innovation Project
This category is open to any business working in the residential property sector across Yorkshire that can demonstrate best innovation in any given project. This can include design, build, planning, interiors, technology or sales. The judges will be looking for evidence of how this innovation has impacted on the success of the project.

Best Small Development (25 units and under) 
Open to developments of up to 25 homes, new-build and/or conversions in any setting, style or location in Yorkshire. Entries should make clear how the development, blends with the local environment, creates a sense of place and allows residents to feel part of a community.

Best Large Development (Over 25 units)
Open to developments of more than 25 homes, new-build and/or conversions in any setting, style or location in Yorkshire. This category includes large scale schemes that might be a new district or neighbourhood in their own right with amenities or compact urban apartment developments. Judges will be looking for evidence of how the development positively effects the local environment.

Best Estate Agency
This category will recognise the residential agency that has demonstrated an outstanding sales and/or lettings record supported by unrivalled service and market reach. The judges will be looking for proven market knowledge, innovation and customer service. Be sure to highlight any specific successes.

Best Land Agent
This category is open to agencies delivering excellence in strategic land advice.  It will recognise best practice in maximising residential land potential for clients that may include house builders, private landowners, local and/or central government and institutions.  Entries should demonstrate successes in land acquisitions or sales to achieve best value and highlight how any particular challenges have been overcome.

Best Design Project
This category is open to practices and individuals across Yorkshire involved with designing residential spaces. The judges will be looking for an outstanding residential design project that combines stylish innovation with practicality. Entries eligible for multiple home, single house or single room projects.

Best Regeneration Project for Housing
This category is open to any urban regeneration project which has delivered transformation change to the area. Entries should demonstrate innovation in design and quality as well as sustainability in terms of environmental, economic and social outcomes. The judges will be looking for evidence of how the project has left a positive and lasting legacy on the local area.

Housebuilder of the Year
This category is open to all sizes of firms building homes in Yorkshire. The judges are looking for business performance, innovation and excellence in practice with impressive levels of community engagement and dedication to sustainability for both business practice and projects.

Personality of the Year
This category is nominated by the judges to highlight an individual that deserves to be recognised for their outstanding contribution to the Yorkshire residential property market throughout their career.

One to watch
This new category seeks to reward high achieving individuals forging a career in the residential property sector.  Entries should highlight key achievements that stand out from the rest and demonstrate the individual’s potential to contribute to the industry in the future.  This person can be from a non-property background so long as they are making a positive impact on the industry.
